Deep Grief forProfessor Wang Chengxu

    Professor Wang Chengxu, the eminent educator and one of the founders of comparative education in China passed away on November 19 2013. Prof. Wang Chengxu devoted his whole life with great compassion to teacher and research in education in China. Professor Wang also showed his great compassion towards UNESCO. He was secretary of Chinese delegation to the first UNESCO General Conference in Paris. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Professor Wang served as a member of the UNESCO Advisory Committee for Educational Cooperation in Asia and the Pacific. For his devotion and contribution to education an its innovation, Professor Wang presented UNESCO-APEID award in 2003. Professor Wang’s legacy will be sustained and his soul rest in peace.
