Delegation of Region of Zealand, Denmark Visit Our College

    On October 9, 2012, a delegation led by Chief Consult Kristian Primdal of Regional Development and International Relations visited our college. The delegation consisted of 12 experts from Roskilde University, College Zealand, Soroe Academy School, Køge Business College, Køge Business high school, Adult Education Centre Storstroem, School of Society and Health Care and others. Deputy director Wang Te Foreign affairs Office, Zhejiang Province companied the delegation while they were visiting our college.
    Kan Yue, Assistant Dean of the College of Education welcomed the Denmark education delegation and gave an introduction to our school, disciplines, research and teaching specialties, programs for fostering students, and international communication and cooperation activities. After the MoU between our college and Roskilde University was signed, both sides have been carrying out further cooperation such as academic workshops, faculty and student exchange visits, joint education programs, etc.
    During the meeting, accomplishments were discussed and Gilsun Song, Assistant Dean of Foreign Affairs suggested undergraduate exchange programs and joint research projects and both sides also discussed mutual ideas and gave suggestions.
    In terms of e-Learning research, Vice Director Lee Yan introduced Chinese e-Learning developments and cooperation research projects with Italian Education and Living Ltd., which conducted research and case studies in two middle schools in Hangzhou. The delegation was very interested the web-based learning projects and also introduced the current media education of Zealand College.
    In addition, Vice Dean Kan introduced our summer school program and discussed cooperation possibilities. Hanne Dorthe Fischer, Director of Education of Zealand College explained their disciplines, education programs and hopes for mutual visits between faculty and students and cooperation in e-Learning. After the meeting, both sides exchanged gifts and expressed wishes for further cooperation and strengthening communication.
