Professor Kobayashi Masayuki of the Center for Research and Development of Higher Education and Associate Professor Dou Xinhao of the School of Japanese Culture and Economy at Shanghai International Studies University visited our College on 2011, March 23.
        Deputy Dean Xu Xiaozhou and Assistant Dean of International Cooperative Affairs Gilsun Song welcomed Professor Kobayashi and introduced our college, especially college degree programs, talent cultivation, international cooperation and communication. Professor Kobayashi also briefly explained the current situation of The University of Tokyo’s, “Asian Campus Project,” and the finance of higher education research project. Both parties went into discussion about the Secretariat Global University Network for Innovation-Asia and the Pacific, research on World Class Universities, world class rankings, and the management of undergraduate education systems. Through the in-depth discussions, deputy dean Xu Xiaozhou explained the main issues of world and Chinese higher education development especially through comparison of research data in the areas of medicine, human society, technology and science in 9 countries. Through the discussions both sides got the chance to know each other and reinforce future cooperative opportunities.
