Val Rust教授是美国加州大学洛杉矶分校（UCLA）教育系教授，（社会科学与比较教育方向），UCLA 海外教育项目主任，UCLA国际与发展教育中心副主任。教育经历：1977-1978, 挪威奥斯陆大学博士后研究；1965-1966, 德国国际教育研究所研究员；1963-1967, 美国密歇根大学教育学博士学位。教学与研究兴趣：教育改革的政治学，组织建构，高等教育领导，海外学校。专业：比较与国际教育，教育政策，高等教育。专业任职：1998-, 比较教育评论副主编；1990-1991,比较与国际教育学会主席。部分发表作品1.
